Section - 2.05.4
fences, etc.) until effective drainage can be reestablished. Any berms constructed to contain small
drainage areas will be xevegetated and left in place. The vegetative cover will help to stabilize the
berms and over time the area on the uphill side of the berms will silt in completing the xedamadon
process. Regrading operations will be limited to existing disturbance areas and those immediately
adjacent undisturbed areas necessary to provide for effective blending of regraded surfaces with the
surrounding terrain. Fugitive dust emissions will be controlled during reclamation by periodic
watering of roads and active reclamation areas.
Soil materials will be sampled following replacement to verify suitability and will be stabilized by
leaving the surface of the replaced soil in a roughened condition to minimize surface runoff and
erosion and promote moisture infiltration and through application of straw or native hay mulch
following seeding.
TABLE~2.05.4-T1 - .. ..-
SURFACE DISTURBANCE`SUMMARK.
Area Disturbance Reference
acres) Drawing
Elk Creek Coal Handling, Support, and Ancillary 39.0 Map 2.05-Mt, General Facilities
Facilities Exhibit 2.05-Et, Facilities Details
Sanborn Creek Mine Surface Facilities 4.1 Map 2.05-M1, General Facilities
Exhibit 2.05-Ei, Facilities Details
West Valley Coal Refuse Facility and Haul Road 12.9 Map 2.05-Mt, General Facilities
Exhibit 2.05-E4, Mine Development
Rock/Coal Refuse Facilit
Elk Creek Mine Surface Facilities 24.2 Map 2.05-M1, General Facilities
of total 8.6 is new and 15.6 is existin) Map 2.05-M3, Facilities Details
11 West Coal Refuse Facility 8.6 Map 2.05-M1 General Facilities
Exhibit 2.OSE4, Mine Development
Rock/Coal refuse Facili Desi ns
Satellite Facilities
Upper Hubbartl Creek Facilities Area 3.3 Map 2.05-M1, General Facilities
Ma 2.05-E7, Facilities Details
Lower Hubbartl Creek Facilities Area 2.6 Map 2.05-M1, General Facilities
Ma 2.05-E7, Facilities Details
Hubbard Creek Power Line Road 0.7 Map 2.05-M1, General Facilities
Exhibit 2.05-E1 Facilities Desi ns
Bear Creek Facilities Area 3.0 Map 2.05-M1, Geneal Facilities
Exhibil2.O5~E1, Facilities Details
Water Treatment Plant Area 1.5 Ma 2.05-M7, General Facilities
Sewa a Effluent Absor lion Fieltl 0.3 Ma 2.05-M1, General Facilites
Substation No. 3 and C-Gulch Ventilation 1.6 Map 2.05-M7, General Facilites
Installation
Coal Gulch Ex loration Sites 0.4 Ma 2.05-M1, Gene2i Facilities
Powedine Roads 17.0 Ma 2.05-M1, General Facilities
De as Well Sites (CBM-1- 15 and Roads 7.1 Ma 2.05-M1, General Facilities
EIk Creek Mine Gob Vent boreholes and roads. 3.6 Ma 2.04-M3 Mine Area Geolo
Subtotal -Satellite Facilities 41.1 Map 2.05-M1, General Facilites
Total 130.1
Soil samples will be analyzed for the parameters of pH, acid-base potential, saturation percent,
electrical conductivity, sodium adsorption ratio, selenium, boron, texmxe, nitrogen, phosphorus, and
potassium.
