• Rule 2.06.5 - Permits Incorporating Variances from Approximate Original <br /> Contour Restoration Requirements for Steep Slope Mining <br />(1) Scope. 2.06.5 applies to non mountaintop removal steep slope <br />surface coal mining and reclamation operations, where the operation is <br />not to be reclaimed to achieve the approximate original contour required <br />by 4.14.1-4.14.6 and 4.27.3. <br />RSSPONSS: <br />Since CYCC is not requesting a variance from reestablishing <br />approximate original contour and ao steep slope mining is planned, <br />L J <br />the requirements of this Rule are not applicable. <br />Rule 2.06.6 - Prime Farmlands <br />C1) Scope. 2.06.6 applies to any person who conducts or intends to <br />conduct surface coal mining activities on prime farmlands historically <br />used for cropland. Areas where mining is authorized under permits issued <br />or mining plans approved prior to August 3, 1977, are exempt from the <br />prime farmland reconstruction standards. <br />RESPONSE: <br />.
