BSSPONSB:
The field investigations of the general area described under
Eule 2.06.8 (3) resulted in the identification of three subject
areas vhich are possibly alluvial valley floors. These areas, shown
on Map 4, Mine No. 3 Hydrology, are 1) the Foidel Creek floodplain,
2) the Middle Creek floodplain, which receives mine drainage from
the proposed surface mining area, and 3) the Fiah Creek floodplain,
The information provided under this Bule, along vith information
provided under Hule 2.04 and 2.05 in this application, documents the
characteristics supporting the essential hydrologic functions of
affected alluvial valley floors in the proposed permit and adjacent
area.
Based on the information accumulated in the reconnaissance and
field investigations and the baseline data collection program, the
effects of the proposed mining and reclamation plan on alluvial
valley floors dovnstream from the proposed permit area have been
evaluated. The possible direct and indirect effects of mining on
the essential hydrologic functions of the three applicable subject
areas which may contain alluvial valley floors are discussed.
Supporting data used for the material damage determination are
summarized in the discussion, and can be reviewed under the
following Rules:
Geologic data (from Bulea 2.04.6 and 2.06.8 (3)).
Soils and vegetation data (from Rules 2.04.9, 2.4.10 and 2.06.8
(3)).
2.06-31
