6.4.7 Exhibit G -Water Information
The mining operation is to be a dry operation, meaning that dewatering trenches
will be constructed surrounding excavations. The configuration of the trenches is
given in Exhibit C -Mining Plan. Water will be pumped to discharge points to
Boulder Creek. There are no nearby wells or significant bodies of water that are
expected to be adversely impacted by the operational de-watering. Timing of
recharge to Boulder Creek is expected to be disturbed and depletions will occur
due to water taken with the mined product and evaporative loss. A IVPDES
permit application for sand and gravel operations will be in place prior to mining
and will protect Boulder Creek from excess sedimentation. A well permit and
Temporary Substitute Supply Plan has been applied for with the State Engineers
office and a copy is included herein.
Turnpike Mining Resource
Regular 112 application
