6.4.5 Exhibit E -Reclamation Plan
Reclamation summary
Reclamation proposes to backfill Cell 2 and Cell 3 close to historic grade. For
Cells 1 and 4, slopes will be graded from approximately 0.5H:1 V to 3H:1 V and be
to allowed to fill with water leaving a 69 acre lake occupying Cell 1 and the
existing lake area. Topsoil will be replaced to a depth of 0.25 to 0.5 ft for
excavated areas including lake freeboard, slopes of the relocated Plumb and
Dailey Ditch and all of Cells 2 and 3.
Reclamation of the Turnpike Mining Resource will occur concurrently with mining.
The general order of reclamation activities is given in Table 1, Reclamation
Sequence Summary.
Table 1 -Reclamation Sequence Summary
Reclamation Activity Reclamation Sequence
Backfill the west 250 ft of existing Pond During Mining of the North 1/3 of Cell
Backfill areas adjacent to Oil and Gas
Structures -North 1 /3 of Cell 1
Backfill Cell 2
Backfill Cell 3
Final Slope Grading
Topsoil Replacement
Seeding and Fertilizing
During Mining of the North 1/3 of Cell
1
Following Mining of Cell 2
During mining of the southern 2/3rds
of Cell1 and following mining of Cell 4
Following all mining activity
Following slope grading
Following Topsoil Replacement
Backfill Western 250 ft of Existing Pond
Reclamation will begin by moving overburden from the north 1/3 of Cell 1 to the
west 250 ft of the existing pond area. Backfilling this area will help to stabilize
the river bank of Boulder Creek and prevent river capture of the existing pond.
Total volume to backfill this area is approximately 65,000 yd3
Concurrent Backfilling Adjacent to Oil and Gas Structures
Agreements between owners of oil and gas structures specify that mining can
occur as close as 10 ft from flow lines and 40 ft from oil and gas well facilities as
a temporary condition. ASCI will backfill areas adjacent to oil and gas facilities to
a distance of 25 ft from flow lines and 150 ft from oil and gas wells as shown in
Exhibit C -Mining Plan. Backfilling adjacent to oil and gas structures will occur
within two weeks following excavation near oil and gas structures. Total volume
of material needed to backfill this area is approximately 94,307 yd3
Turnpike Mining Resource
Regular 112 application
