a
Appendi.c F
I
CLIMATIC DATA CALCULATIDtI SUh1MARY
Long term temperature and precipitation data are available for both
Trinidad and North Lake near the mine sites. Mean precipitation and
temperature data for these locations are given in Table - 1.
1 Solar radiation was calculated using values of mean solar radiation
for cloudless skies, Rso, (Table 3.1, Jensen, 1973). Values of Rso for the
~ mine sites o-rere determined through curvelinear interpolation. The follow-
ing equation (Jensen, 1973) was used to calculate solar radiation, Rs, from
calculated Rso data.

where 5 represents the mean monthly percentage of possible sunshine.
Since this parameter is not collected at either station listed above mean .
monthly values for Pueblo were used. The results of these calculations
along with measured data for .4lamosa and Pueblo and data obtained rrom
i the Climatic Atlas of the United States are presented in Table - 2.
1
i
