II I I II I II I II IIII III Doc Date:12/11I2001 <br />sss <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />C'FNERAL REOUTREMENTS FOR COAL EXPLORATION G- f~E <br />The scope of this section establishes requirements for coal <br />exploration and is intended to insure that such exploration is <br />conducted in a manner that protects the environment and complies <br />with the existing governmental regulations. These regulations <br />include filing notices of intent when 250 tons or less of coal <br />will be removed during exploration and applying for written <br />approval when more than 250 tons of coal will be removed during <br />exploration. <br />2.2.2 ~plnratinn rnvnlv~ng Removal of 250 Tons or Less of Coal <br />Colowyo hereby gives written notice of its intent to conduct coal <br />exploration during which less than 250 tons of coal will be <br />removed. Exploration taking place inside and outside of the permit <br />area will be handled through the Notice of Intent (NOI) <br />procedures. See the appropriate NOI for details for each program. <br />With the approval of Technical revision 50, all exploration holes <br />located within the permit boundary are transferred to NOI X-95- <br />109-5 and are managed under Coal Exploration procedures. <br />Wells drilled as an integral part of water monitoring plans <br />identified in the PAP (Permit C-61-019) and water supply wells <br />(for mining purposes) are managed under this Permit C-61-019. <br />The name, address and telephone number of the person seeking to <br />explore is: Colowyo Coal Company L.P., 5731 State Highway 13, <br />Meeker, Colorado 81641; (303) 829-9451. <br />The name, address and telephone number of the representative who <br />will be present at and responsible for conducting the exploration <br />activities is: Juan Garcia, Senior Mining Engineer, Colowyo Coal <br />Company, 5731 State Highway 13, Meeker, Colorado 81691; (303) <br />824-9951. <br />Colowyo owns all land or has right of entry for lands on which it <br />intends to explore. <br />Revision SubmiGed <br />Revlsbn No. <br />T'2-S~ <br />I-Z3'OI <br />2.02-1 <br />
