IiVTRODUCTION <br />NOV - 41971 <br />Location and Accessibility <br />MINED LAND RECLAMATION <br />The River Property is owned by Fra6hloA'(1~+WhQ1Qjv'~bra~~es~r~~e~ted <br />in Adams County, approximately five miles southv+est cf 6righton <br />and 16 miles northeast of Denver, Colorado. The property occu- <br />pies most of section 34 and parts of sections 26, 27 and 33, <br />T.1S., R.67W. (see Fig. 1). The study area covers 406 of a <br />total 504.6 acres and includes all of the land east of the <br />Grantner Ditch except for a 2.68 acre parcel of land adjacent <br />to the north side of the Golf Course Road. The western boundary <br />of the River property is the Riverdale Road, south of the Golf <br />Course Road, and the county fairgrounds on the north. the pro- <br />perty boundary on the east is the South Platte River. <br />Access to the property from Denver and Grighton is East <br /> <br />124th Avenue off of U. S. Highway 85 or from the soutlir~est via <br />the Riverdale Road. <br />Purpose and Scope <br />The purpose of this study was to determine the amount of <br />potentially commercial sand and gravel on the property. The <br />scope included office revier•~ of available data, primarily from <br />v+ater• v+ell records, test drilling and sampling, laboratory anal- <br />ysis of samples, data review, and preparation of maps and a re- <br />port. <br />I - 1 77'S7~ <br />
