County. Commissioner Charlie Williams said Thursday
that he is, and has been, in favor of granting Dist. Atty.
Joseph Lasavio the 840,000 he needs to conduct an in-
vestigation at Colorado City.
1 say we ought to give him the money now, regardless of
what's going on in Denver," said Williams. "The people in
Colorado City ate tired of talk. They need help now."
Williams said he agrees with Losavio that the investment
of 840,000 at Colorado City is small when compared to what
could be done for the community and the overall strength of
Pueblo County.
"I stuck my neck out to get the money for Pueblo West,"
he said. "And for the 892,900 we spent there, we got back 816
million."
Williams said he thought additional meetings with the
attorney general, district attorhey and Great Western Cities,
Inc. executivies would "be a waste of time."
"If it turns out the Lostvio Investigation is not needed we
can always stop it," he added.0
