Areas which will not be mined until a later date should <br />be left in its native condition. <br />2.) Sediment from construction operations should not be allowed to leave <br />the site, <br />j.) Slopes should be graded j:1 or flatter for ease of establishment. <br />CRITICAL AREA TRP,ATN~IT: <br />Seedbed. Preparation - <br />1.) The minimum <br />depth for topsoil shall be at Ieast j inches. <br />Seed 8: Seeding - Methods - <br />1.} Drills <br />Proper seeding equipment should be used on critical sreas. A grass drill <br />its recommended. The drill should be equipped with a satisfactory feeding <br />mechanism, agitator, double disk furrow openers end packer wheels. <br />2,) H.ydraulic Equipment <br />This is an acceptable method bait should ordinarily be restricted to areas <br />inaccessible to drills. If hydromulch is to be applied, the seed should <br />be applied in a separate operation prior to mulching. <br />
