. 2.05.3
Run-off from the vent shaft pad does not go through a treatment facility such
as a sediment pond. Run-off from this pad will be filtered through one of
two sediment fences. Sediment fence #1 is 130-feet long with a tie back of
5-feet. Sediment fence #2 is 30-feet long with a tie back of 5-feet. Design
of the sediment fences is presented in Volume III, Exhibit 8 beginning on
page Exh-8 - 87. Flow will be routed to the sediment fences with a series of
berms as shown on Map 35.
Up to three gob vent boreholes GVBs are required over each longwall panel.
Additionally, exploratory holes will be drilled within the permit boundary. Run-
offfrom the related dril{ pads may not go through a treatment facility such as
a sediment pond. Run-off from the pads that does not report to a sediment
pond will be filtered through a sediment fence. Design of sediment fences
for three drill pad configurations are presented in Volume III, Exhibit 8
beginning on page Exh-8 -107. The three typical drill pads are designed on
a 3H:1 V slope, 5H:1 V slope and 10H:1 V slope. The typical sediment fence
configuration, berms and ditches for the various slopes and pad sizes are
shown on Maps 36 and 36a..
• The following table lists each drill hole and its design drill pad.
I•
Drill H oles
Ori final Ground S lo a Inform ation
Identifier Hote Name Sloe Identifier Hole Name Slo e
063 VB-D-26 10:1 078 VB-WD-1A 10:1
041 VB-D-7A 3:1 050 VB-WD-2C 5:1
042 GVB-D-SA 3:1 080 GVB-WD-1B 10:1
044 VB-D-4B 5:1 083 eo-TCH-01 10:1
051 VB-WD-3C 5:1 084 eo-TCH-02 10:1
052 VB-WD-36 3:1 085 eo-TCH-03 5:1
053 VB-WD-2B 3:1. 087 VB-D-BC 10:1
054 VB-WD-3A 10:1 090 VB-D-BB 5:1
055 VB-WD-2A 10:1 092 VB-D-9B 3:1
059 VB-D-4C 10:1 094 VB-D-8A&9A 3:1
060 VB-D-5B 5:1 096 IP-99-16 10:1
061 VB-D-5C 10:1 102 IP-99-11 3:1
062 VB-D-6C 5:1 102 IP-99-11 3:1
064 GVB-D-6A 5:1 120 KM-3 3:1
065 VB-D-68 3:1 129 P-B-Bum-22 10:1
066 VB-D-7B 5:1 130 P-B-Bum-23 10:1
068 DH-57 10:1 131 P-TC-03-01 10:1
070 DH-58 10:1 132 P-TC-03-02 10:1
075 VB-D-7C 10:1 133 P-TC-03-03 10:1
077 VB-D-SD 5:1 134 - 137 P-TC-03-04 - 07 10:1
TR-2 8 2.05 - 34 -
APPRoveD q~s~os
6/03
