<br />APACHE #9A MINE - E1 Paso County <br />EXHIBIT A - Legal Description <br />State Lease No. 1560/16-5 <br />WZ of Section 16, T12S, R62w <br />in the County of E1 Paso. <br />EXHIBIT B-= Mining Plan <br />Apache #9A is an open pit clay mine in the Dawson Formation. <br />The clay veins lie in horizontal beds in the top of small buttes. <br />The clay pit was started from the north and we are advancing east <br />and west following the clay veins on the buttes. The overburden <br />is approximately four feet in depth. This clay is mined with an <br />HD-11 Cat and stockpiled on the north side of the pit. The clay <br />is loaded into trucks with a front end loader and hauled to the <br />Brick Plants in Denver. <br />There are no highwalls at this site. <br />EXHIBIT C - Map <br />See attached. <br />EXHIBIT D -Wildlife, Water Resources, Vegetation and Soils Information <br />Wildlife Species: Mule Deer, Antelope, Coyote, Fox, Badger, <br />Cottontail Rabbits, Jackrabbits, Mourning Dove, Ducks, Golden Eagle, <br />Prairie Falcon, Kestrel, Rough-legged Hawk, Red-tail Hawk, Feruginous <br />Hawk, Swainson's Hawk, Great Horned Owl, Crows, Raven and Magpies, <br />Water Resources: No available water except from rain and snow- <br />fall. <br />Vegetation: Little Bluestem, Big Bluestem, Side-oats Grama, <br />Western Wheatgrass, Blue Grama, Fringed Sage, Wormwood, Cactus, <br />Snakeweed, Yucca and Fremont Goldenweed. <br />Soils: The surface layer is a grayish brown, cobbly, silty <br />clay loam, about 60% cobble and stone. The underlying layer is <br />silty clay to silty clay loam.
