Acreage and location of all disturbed areas: Existing Roust County Roads, unimproved ranch
roads and jeep trails will be used for drilling access. In the circumstance where direct access to a
proposed drill-site is not possible using existing roads, drilling equipment will be moved overland
the short distance from the road to the drill-site without constructing a new road.
Both drill pads will be of uniform size, a maximum of approximately 100 x 100 feet (approximately
0.23 acres each). Pad construction will begin with removal of existing topsoil material for use in
reclaiming the pad. Available topsoil material wilt be stripped and stockpiled on the uphill side of
the pad. After stripping and stockpiling the available topsoil, minor grading and leveling will be
completed to establish the drill-pad and accommodate the drilling and support equipment. Mud pits
will be constructed within the graded pad area. Generally two or three pits are required, with
typical pit dimensions of 10 x S feet anal 6 feet deep. All drilling fluids will be contained within the
mud pits, and all drilling supplies will be contained within the area of the drill pad. Any runoff and
associated suspended sediment from the drill pads will be controlled and contained by grading, and
perimeter berms on the downgradient side(s) of the drill-pad, with release of any minor runoff
accumulations in a controlled manner through rock check-dams, .silt fences, and/or straw bales or
wattles, as appropriate.
4. Type of equipment on site. Mobile drill-rigs, water truck, support vehicles.
5. Type of vehicles used for project: See response ro Item 4.
Number of employees. The exploration holes will be drilled with a rotary drill-rig, which typically
requires three workers. per rig. It is anticipated that one drill-rig will be required for this project.
CCR plans to schedule operations on a 12-hour per day basis with the option to operate on a 24-
hour schedule in order to minimize the time required to complete the drilling program; exploration
holes should be completed within 14 to 21 days. Other associated activities (sampling, logging,
project management, and geotechnicai evaluations) may add another 2 to 3 workers to the number of
individuals working on-site at any given time.
7. Phasing plan. CCR plans to complete the proposed exploration activities during the summer and
fall of 2007, however, weather or other unanticipated delays may result in the work extending into
the spring and summer of 2008.
8. Date of commencement. CCR plans ro initiate exploration activities in early-July 2007.
9. Completion date. The project, as noted in Item 7, is projected to be completed by summer 2008.
10. Location of stockpiles for topsoil, overburden, etc, if any. The only topsoil stockpiles (or
windrows) will be located along any roads that are constructed and at the drill-sites. Any recovered
soil materials will be windrowed off the edges ofnewly-constructed roads and on the upslope
perimeter of the drill-sites.
11. Drainage control on Site. Drainage control at the drill-sites will be through an integrated system,
using grading and berms to limit and control surface runoff, mud pits excavated within the footprint
of the pad to contain all drilling fluids, and either rock check-dams, silt fence, or straw bales/wattles
installed at the low point of the drill- pad to contain sediment and control any discharge.
12. All roads to be used for project, and existing conditions of roads, and anticipated
improvements: Existing Routt County roads, ranch roads and jeep trails will be used to access the
drill-sites -except for limited overland routes that may be necessary to access individual drill-sites.
The existing roads are adequate for the intended purposes of the exploration project.
