There
will be no effect on surface- or ground-water systems due to
this operation.
Water will be trucked by tanker to the site to handle
irrigation, plant, and personal needs. The proposed operation
is estimated to require 2-to 10-thousand gallons per day
dependent on the season of year. Maximum water use will occur
during the summer months. There will not be runoff from this
minimal usage, therefore the need for sediment ponds is pre-
cluded.
An analysis of runoff impact due to the operation,
evaluated for a 100 year, 24 hour event, indicated that no
significant increase in runoff will occur (Appendix A).

a

a
Due to the nature of the soil material at the site, an
internal drainage system is not necessary to control runoff
within the mining area and reduce erosion potential. As the
configuration of the pit expansion will be changing constant-
ly, it would not be possible to develop a rigid drainage plan
for the operating area itself. If it were needed, design and
G-1
