a <br />a <br /> Implementation and Timetable <br /> Land reclamation work at the Vollmer Pit will begin during <br /> the third year of operations as shown on the mining plan. Dur- <br /> ing the first year, work will be focused on the initiation of <br /> <br /> mining operations and no reclamation work is foreseen. In <br /> subsequent years, land reclamation will keep pace with mining <br /> and each phase will be reclaimed after it is mined. Final <br /> reclamation of the site is expected to be completed as of <br />a the spring of 2003. <br /> Implementation of the reclamation plan is discussed below <br /> in paragraphs keyed to the corresponding sections of Rule 6 <br /> of the Mined Land Reclamation Board's Rules and Regulations <br /> of 1978. <br /> 6.1 Grading <br />a <br /> a. Grading will be carried out to create the desired <br /> topography and to assure maximum safe, practicable use <br /> of the resultant landscape.
