Seeding should be between October 15 and April 15. A grass drill should be used; <br /> if seed is broadcast, then the above rates should be doubled. Seed should be drilled <br /> to ; inch deep. <br /> Fertilizer should be applied immediately prior to planting and mi::ed with the <br /> soil by harrowing. Fertilizer rates should be based on a soil test. HM;ever, no less <br /> than 40# of nitrogen and 404 phosphorous are recommended. <br /> After seeding, the areas should be mulched with 3000 to 4000 pounds per acre of <br /> straw.
