EXHIBIT E
3'ECL'S.hlATION PLAN - b40NT0YA PIT
The land around the 1:lontoya Pit is rangeland. The
"lontoya Pit when finished will be changed back to rangeland.
Because of the surrounding topography, preparation of
slopes for drainage purposes should not be a problem.
Grading and sloping will be accomplished so as to best
prevent any erosion of soils and care will be taken while
shaping slopes to create diversions so ti~at excess water
above the site will not be allowed to flow onto or across
the site.
Slopes in the pit will be shaped by a crawler type
tractor equipped with a dozer blade. These slopes will
be shaped with a maximum slope of 3:1 where possible,
Areas steeper than 3:1 shall be kept at a minimum.
All available topsoil at the site will be spread on
the affected area to compliment seeding proceedures. °eedina
plans, including types, mixtures, quantities, mulching, and
expected times of seeding, shall follow the guide sheet
prepared by the Soil Conservation Service except that if
the county decides to broadcast seed the affected area, the
rates recommended for the drilling method will be doubled,
If the I~I.L.R.B. staff believes the seeding mixture should
be changed to provide a more feasible revegetation scheme,
C & J will cooperate as much a possible,
C & J will reclaim the access road the same as the
pit area.
C & J Gravel will begin reclamation proceedures of the
disturbed lands at this pit when the lease is not renewed
or when it is determined tt:at the c*ravel source is depleted,
whichever comes first.
c
