SUMMARY
. The Somerset Mining Company has reviewed the sources for fugitive dust
from the Somerset facility and four major sources were identified.
Mitigation measures are proposed for each of these sources with the
possible elimination of one of tl~e sources to a location distant from
town. AP-42 was used to calculate the emissions associated with these
changes; uncontrolled emissions totaled 1,972 TPY for these activities.
With the controls proposed in this plan, a reduction of 1,735 TPY to 237
TPY was realized.
The implementation of these dust control measures does not affect the
capacity of the facility. The above changes in the operation of the
facility are to control the fugitive dust emissions and will neither
increase nor decrease the throughput of the train load-out.

•
5
