VIII.
IX
Reclamation Program
Reclamation of drill sites/roads will occur as soon as possible after completion of the
drilling and evaluation activities on each site. The onset of winter weather may dictate that
final reclamation activities may not be fully completed until early summer of the following
year. Any drill pads and associated access roads associated with any hole that may become
a monitoring well site may be only partially reclaimed to protect the hydrologic balance
but be left in a condition that will allow periodic well monitoring.
Reclamation activities will include plugging drill holes as mentioned in the previous
section, regrading any cut and fill associated with road or drill location construction to
approximate original contour, spreading topsoil, scarifying topsoil, and reseeding.
The following seed mixture and rate of application will be utilized:
Western Wheatgrass
Mountain Brome
Kentucky Bluegrass
Sanfoin
TOTAL
Bond Estimate
4 pounds per acre
4 pounds per acre
2 pounds per acre
2 pounds per acre
12 pounds per acre
Colowyo has not calculated the bond and respectfully requests that the Division calculate
the required bond for Colowyo. Upon review and consensus between Colowyo and the
Division on the calculated bond amount, Colowyo will obtain a Performance Bond or other
acceptable security as per Rule 3.05.
The following information is presented to aid the Division in calculating the bond.
The proposed exploration program will require construction of 84 (eighty-four) drill
locations (see listing below) that will require site reclamation. A disturbance of about
0.115 acres per site (50' x100') is anticipated per location. Therefore:
Total Drill Location Disturbance: 84 sites x 0.115 ac/site = 9.7 acres
Access road construction will be required for thirty-six (36) drill locations (see listing
below). These locations will require only a minhnal amount of brushing to construct the
roads with no or minimal topsoil removal.
A new road is planned on the west side of the disturbed area of Section 16 to allow total
access for the drilling of the WP holes, as shown on the enclosed map. This road will be
constructed on the previously stripped western limit of the Section 16 pit and its length is
N:\CCC_ENGUUAN\DMG\NOI DOC\OSNOI\OSNOI Text.doc
t/26/OS
11
