With the exception of the State of Colorado State Section 36,T. 4 N., R. 94 W., 6~' P.M. <br />and Section 16, T. 3 N., R. 93 W., 6~' P.M., and various interspersed parcels of BLM <br />land, Colowyo owns the entire remaining surface lands slated to be drilled on under this <br />NOI. <br />Subsurface Coal Ownership <br />1. Estimated Timetable for Exploration Activities <br />1. Application: January 31, 2005. <br />2. Locate proposed drill sites and proposed access roads: mid February 2005. <br />3. Commence exploration activities: February 2005. <br />4. Completion of exploration/reclamation activities under this NOI: February 2007. <br />V. Description of the Proposed Exploration Area <br />1. Location <br />The exploration program will be conducted in the Danforth Hills Coal Field, <br />approximately 35 miles southwest of Craig, Colorado. The project area is located <br />in Moffat County. The project area, including the Logical Mining Unit (LMU) <br />and Exploration License boundaries, is shown on the enclosed map. The legal <br />description for the LMU has been documented previously in Colowyo's Permit C- <br />81-019. <br />2.
