It is suggested that
some species of shrubs and trees be included in your reclamation plan.
Please inform the Division of your action on this matter.
Exhibit G - Water Information
(1) Where will you obtain water for dust control?
(2) Will you comply with the Army Corps of Engineers restriction of de-
watering activities (L page 9 of permit number 8018).
ibit H - Wildlife Information
(1) Why have you left only a 50' berm in section 33 of your mining operation?
The DOW, Army Corps of Engineers, and the Planning Department all have
recommended that a 75', undisturbed greenbelt should be left on either side
of the overflow channel and the back water slough. These measures were
recommended to protect the area populations of Bald Eagles and Great Blue
Herons. Please explain why you have chosen 50' instead of 75' minimums for
greenbelts.
Exhibit I -Soils
(1) Please show the location of the topsoil stockpile and detail the
temporary seed mix to be used to stabilize this topsoil stockpile.
Exhibit L - Reclamation Costs
(1) Please supply costs for the following on a per acre basis.
(a) Fertilizer
(b) Mulch
(c) Topsoil seed mix
(d) Seedbed preparation costs
(e) Seed costs
Exhibit 0 - Leaal Right-to-Enter
(1) The lease agreement is between Robert and John Latham and Corn
Construction Company, yet extensive portions of the permit area are on
Mr. Kenneth Burkett's property according to the ovmership legend found on
the mining plan map.
