LEADVILLE MINING •
MILLING CORPORATION
PRESIDENT: DONALD WILSON
TREASURE R: GIFFORD DIETERLE
SECRETA RY: ..IOSEPH BOYCHUK
ADEQUACY ITEMS
MINED LAND RECLAMATION DIVISION
PERMIT APPLICATION
FILE NO. M-90-057
ITEM #1
76 BEAVER STREET
NEW YORK. N.V. 10005
TEL: 21 2-34451 58
700 CARR STREET
LAKEWOOD. CO 80215
TEL: 303-2383398
The total disturbed area of mine and mill sites iS 8.5
acres, of which 6.6 acres are applicable to the mill site
and 1.9 acres are applicable to the mine area. Our total
ownership acreage at the mill site is 20.72 acres and total
ownership and leased acreage at the mine is 121.02.
Please refer to Exhibit D - Reclamation Plan heading "Mill
Site Area" for a more detailed description of areas of dis-
turbance.
ITEM #2
The pre-existing access road of approximately 0.3 miles from
County Road 1 to the Hopemore Shaft is a common road which
gives access to many mining properties on Breece Hill. This
road is maintained by Lake County and has existed for about
100 years. The short spur section of the road which turns
into the Hopemore Shaft is included in the 1.75 acres of
disturbance area shown on Map MLR-2 "Hopemore Area."
ITEM #3
It is very unlikely that old mine dumps from previous
operations on lands within our control can be economically
processed at current metal prices. However, I would like to
maintain that option. In the event we would choose to
remove dump material, I would agree to construct a surface
diversion to minimize hydrologic impact during the
excavation work and follow-up reclamation according to the
recommended plan of the Soils Conservation Service.
