Dlpt of Naturatl Raourcos
Enclosed, please find the items needed for the six Permit Applications
83-214 thru 219, excepting proof of local zoning. The County gravel
pits will be considered on April 19, 1984 by the Mesa County Planning
Commission and May 15, 1984 by the Mesa County Commissioners. At this
time, the pits are on the consent agenda for the Planning Commission
and their staff has no significant comments.
The Proof of Publication for the applications numbered 83-215 thru
219 is enclosed. Publication for the Orchard Mesa Pit has been
scheduled (see attached form) and notification for all six has been
accomplished (see attached letters sent by certified mail, return
receipt requested).
A SCS form CO-ECS-2 has been obtained and is attached. Along with
that is the SCS straw mulch standard which the County will use if
the MLRD so stipulates; however, this is not believed necessary for
successful reclamation by the County.
Realizing that another continuance will not be viewed favorably,
nevertheless, we rtiust request one in light of your zoning requirements
and our proposed ;,chedule. A copy of the Development Department
Schedule is enclosed. I trust this will be satisfactory. If not,
myself or another County representative can attend the hearing if
that will help.
Sincerely
~~p
Burke P. Lokey, P.~.
BPL/if
~..
f
