The proposed exploration locations are generally in areas previously disturbed by historic coal
exploration or mining activities, or agricultural operations, and have been located adjacent to
existing county roads, developed coal haulage roads or ranch roads, where feasible. Cultural
resource clearances have been completed for the proposed drill-sites. Review of the proposed
locations by the Colorado Division of Wildlife did not identify any potentially impacted resources
requiring avoidance or specific mitigation measures (refer to accompanying documentation).
It is anticipated that little or no road construction will be required to access the sites, since most
aze adjacent to existing roads or undeveloped jeep trails, and the proposed activities will occur
during the period of July through October, when favorable ground conditions prevail.
Reclamation of exploration disturbance areas will involve plugging and sealing the coreholes and
drillholes, allowing the mud pits to dry-out and then backfilling the pits, regrading the drill pads,
replacing windrowed topsoil, and reseeding the areas. Dependent on location and aspect, one of
three reclamation seed mixtures (pastureland, cropland, or rangeland/wildlife) will be used.
Selection of the appropriate seed mixture will be based on the pre-disturbance vegetation
community and land-use. For purposes of bonding, TCC has estimated the cost for reclamation
of the proposed exploration disturbance is approximately $7,550.00 dollars.
We hope to initiate the proposed exploration activities as soon as possible, following receipt of all
required approvals; therefore, we would appreciate your consideration and cooperation in
facilitating timely review and approval of this submittal. Once you have had opportunity to
review this submittal package, please feel free to contact me at 970-870-2751 with any questions
or comments.
Best regards,
(jor Colorado Co esources, LLC)
VV~
B.
