Effective <br />Available water capacity is moderate. <br />hazard is high from water. <br /> <br />• <br />rooting depth is 60 inches. <br />Surface runoff is rapid, erosion <br />D10, 12•to 25 percent slopes, is on strongly sleping to moderately steep <br />ridges and mountain sides lopes. <br />F10, 25 to 65 percent slopes, is on moderately to very steep ridges and <br />mountain sides lopes. <br />(2C) Buckskin loam, 3 to 12 percent slopes. <br />This is a deep, well-drained soil on gently to strongly sloping mountain <br />sideslopes ranging from 3 to 65 percent. It formed in mixed alluvium <br />and residuum derived from shale. On the proposed permit area this soil <br />is encountered north of Foidel Creek and the rail spur, in the 20900 <br />Lease, in Mine 2, and in the northwest portion of the Eckman Park Area. <br />Native vegetation at all sites is sagebrush. <br />Included in this unit are small areas of Cochetopa loam (SOC) and Binco <br />silty clay loam (C10). <br />Typically the surface layer is grayish brown loam about 12 inches thick. <br />The subsurface layer is brown sandy clay loam about 4 inches thick. The <br />upper subsoil is brown silty clay about 22 inches thick, and the lower <br />subsoil is yellow silty clay loam about 16 inches thick. The substratum <br />is yellowish brown clay extending to 60 inches or more. <br />Permeability is very slow. Effective rooting depth is 60 inches or <br />more. Available water capacity is high. Surface runoff is slow. <br />Erosion hazard is moderate from water. <br />\J <br />
