WILDLIFE RESOURCES ASSESSMENT <br />DUCFWORTH PIT, WELD COUNTY, COLORADO <br />The proposed project will have a minimal or negligible impact on large mammals, <br />small mammals, migratory birds and wildlife corridors. A few species will be displaced <br />over the short-term during construction and long-term alteration of the habitat from <br />agricultural to open water pond habitat will favor aquatic species and discourage <br />terrestrial species. <br />Qualifications of Surveyors <br />Ronald Beane is a certified ecologist and a Zoology Research Associate with the <br />Denver Museum of Nature and Science. He has performed small mammal inYestigations <br />for more than 17 years throughout the Western United States. He is certified to conduct <br />Preble's surveys by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and has completed more than 70 <br />habitat assessments and 50 presence/absence surveys for Preble's over the last 6 years. <br />References <br />Andelt, W.
