~ a <br />EXHIBIT D - Mining Plan <br />Camp Bird Colorado, Inc. - April 16, 1982 <br />The Camp Bird Mine i:; an underground hard rock mine with adits mill <br />and surface plant established since the early 1900'x, <br />Ore is mined undergr~~und using shrinkage stoping, hack stoping, cut <br />and fill stoping, long hole stoping, and roan and pillar mining. <br />methods common to the: San Juan Mountains. Ore is broken underground <br />and trammed to the surface for milling, In most instances, the waste <br />rock broken during development is left underground. <br />The milling operation consists of receiving the ore followed by crushing <br />and concentration by floatation, The concentrates are transported <br />to a smelter in Mont~ina for further refinement, The tailings are <br />then sent to the tailings pond (see Exhibit C for location), <br />All operations at ChSs mine will continue until the ore is exhausted, <br />estimating 100 years. <br />
