Banta. <br />OrviSion Ovector <br />Re: January 13, 1992 Meeting, Transit Mix Concrete, Daniel's Sand Pit No. 2, <br />Permit No. M-73-007, and Castle Concrete Company, Castle Sand Pit, <br />Permit No. M-77-213. <br />Dear Mr. Heifner: <br />On January 13, 1992 a meeting was held at the Division at your request. <br />Present at the meeting were: James Cooley and Luke Danielson, members of the <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board, David Bucknam, Acting Director, <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division, Bud Herskind of Transit Mix <br />Concrete, Daniel Hernandez and Berhan Keffelew, Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Division Staff, myself, and yourself. <br />The purpose of the meeting was to resolve the time frame for the submittal of <br />an increase of financial warranty as requested oy the Division, to bring <br />Permit Nos. M-73-007 and M-77-213 into ccmpliance. The Division had requested <br />the operator to post the additional warranty by January 31, 1992 or face <br />possible violation. <br />The operator stated in the meeting that it will have a difficult time meeting <br />the January 31, 1992 deadline and asked for an extension. As a result, both <br />the Division and the operator agreed on the following items: <br />The operator agreed that an additional 5752,000 in financial warranty, <br />for a total of $882,000, is necessary for the Daniel's Sand Pit No. 2, <br />Permit No. M-73-007. <br />2. The operator agreed that an additional 5126,500 in financial warranty, <br />for a total of 5156,600, is necessary for the Castle Sand Pit, Permit <br />No. M-77-213. <br />3. The operator agreed to provide to the Division by January 24, 1992 a <br />statement from Continental Materials, the parent company for Transit Mix <br />Concrete and Castle Concrete, as to how close Continental Materials Could <br />come in obtaining an increase in the financial warranties for the two <br />pits. <br />
