n
~J
INTRODUCTION

This report presents information on the subsidence that may occur as a
result of mining at Sno~+nass Coal Company's North Thompson Creek Mines.
The report first presents an Inventory of structures and renewable re-
source lands in the permit and adfacent area. A determination of possi-
ble material damage or diminution of use is then presented. A subsid-
ence control plan and a limited subsidence monitoring program are pro-
posed.
This report utilizes data presented in the Permit Application prepared
by 61bbs 6 Hill, Inc., dated February 10, 1981. Additional groundwater
data was provided by Mr. Bob Brogden of Bishop Associates, Inc.
The general approach to the subsidence permit was developed during meet-
ings with Gibbs & Hill, Inc., and the Mined Land Reclamation Board on
July 15, 1981, 1n Denver.

The format of the report was dictated by the format of the existing Per-
mit Application and the regulations of the Mined Land Reclamation Board.
The intent of this report 1s to provide a document which can be set
directly into the existing permit with a minimum of format changes.
i
1 i
