EXHIBIT C
Vie-mining Flan of affected land
George IJesthoff is the owner of the mining area and land
surrounding the mine. He took over the mining and processing
of the gravel when lie bought tine plant 6 years ago.
The entrance to the ~~ine is obtained on a haul road running north
22 mSles from the intersection of County rds. X and 16. This
road uas established to be a haul road when the Pit xzs first
opened 20 years ago. Since the opening of the pit, the mining
activity h7t; changed rirst, the gravel was screened Sn the •
mine and just the coarse rock hauled to our plant which left
behind huge stock piles of sand. Since 1z years ago, xe've
begun hauling the entire rax material excluding top soil
and over burden to our plant for processing. This will ac-
count for faster reclamation of the mined area. "'
If you look on the Index Flap, you can see the total af-
fected area outlined in the blue square. This map also shows
the haul road. As you can see this is rugged range land with
the contour of the area being shown that the pit is located on a
hill between two draws with the slope of the north side sloping ~~
northwest and the slope of the south sloping southeast. ~~
We plan that xhen the mining is completely done in this
area to have appmximently 40 acres of flat ground xith the
slope being the same as before but not as severe.
