Exhibit - D Reclamation Plan The ultimate goal of the reclamation of the site will be to return the area to usable rangeland, the pre-mining use. This goal is very compatible with the contour plan as depicted in Exhibit E (maps). The mining of this area should in no way hamper the end use of the land. As the area was extremely steep prior to this project we expect more usable rangeland will be created by this project. To the extent possible the final slopes will be developed during the extraction process bringing the area to final contour in the exhausted areas. As no overburden, or waste material is present the only thing remaining at the end of extraction will be the stockpiled topsoil. As shown on the map(s) the area will be totally reclaimed at the end of the extraction phase. If necessary at final contour benches will be cut into the long slopes to avoid any rill erosion produced by long runoff paths. All final slopes will be graded to gradients of slope no greater than 4:1. After the final contours are finished the stockpiled topsoil will be distributed across the area. It is expected that sufficient stockpiled material will exist to distribute a minimum of 6 inches of topsoil across the entire area. If not material will be imported to make up any deficiency. Fertilizer and seeds will then be applied. This process will be accomplished per the recommendations of the Soil Conservation Service. The estimated co are as follows: TOPSOILING - SEEDING - MULCHING - FERTILIZING st associated with the reclamation of this site 2 hours/acre at $55/hr $660 $75/acre $450 $95/acre $570 - $65/acre $390 Total $ 2070 All reclamation will be done with equipment owned and operated by E1 Paso County DOT.
