<br /> <br />Donald Fix Pit <br />L & L Ready Mix of Haxtun has asked to succeed as the operator on this pit. The county <br />completed the paperwork for that to be done in August of 1997. <br />Roberts Pit M89-020 <br />No additional information was required. <br />Willmon Pit M83-100 <br />No additional information was required <br />Kennedy Pit M-90-116 <br />No additional information was required. <br />Austin Pit M-86-047 <br />No additional information is required. <br />Lappart Pit M-81-039 <br />Commissioner Mort, Road Foreman Scott, and I met at the site on December 22, 1997. <br />The county decided to pursue two potential alternatives to complete the reclamation of <br />this pit. <br />Alternative # 1 <br />When the pond dries up enough to allow a crawler to work, move material from <br />the southeast corner of the site and backfill the current east slope to a 2H-IV stable <br />slope, which would then be re-seeded. <br />Alternative #2 <br />The county will contact the landowner immediately east of the pit to see if he <br />would consider allowing the backsloping of the pit's east slope onto his property. <br />We are assuming that one of these two alternatives will be acted upon in the spring of <br />1998 (4/98 - 5/98). <br />A mine sign was posted by 12/15/97. A photo is attached. <br />Schneller Clay Pit M-89-095 <br />The stockpile will have grass seeded to stabilize it. <br /> <br />
