Ta the East lies the Fulton Ditch. Along
Fulton Ditch a variety of wildlife species typical of a
streambar,k environment could be expected to be present. I"he land
that is to be mimed is currently pasture lantl. Vegetation ar•a and
the edges of the field is limited to a matlerate covering of mixed
grasses and farbs; no shrub ~ar,der•story is present.
This area is rapidly developing and does hat present abundant r,or
' desir^able habitat far wildlife. During the rniriinq phases,
wildlife currently on the property will be disrupted ar~d probably
migrate elsewhere. After reclamation is completed, wildlife left
' in the area will probably begin to return to the pr^a pert y.
Rvian species which could commonly be expected include corvids
such as crows, magpies, blackbirds, cowbirds, a variety of
warblers, spar•r•ows, pheasants, occasional woadpecker•s,
meadowlarH.s, pigeons, swallows ar,d water fowl such as geese and
ducks.
Marnrnalian species could incl~.,de a variety of small rodents,
insectivores, eastern cottontail, white tailed hack rabbits,
striped skunks, r•ed fax, r•acc~~ans, aDG55L1n15 ar,d white tailed
deer. Other species pray occur an an incidental oasis.
The propased raining and reclamation plan is designed to generate
minimum impact and restore the site with native vegetation,
thereby enabling a similar wildlife pap~.,latidn to ret~_,rn.
Wildlife habitat cr•eatian, enhancement or rnanaq_ement is hat a
' part of this r•eclarnatian plan.

H-1
