Waldron: <br />RECEIVED <br />FEB 0 6 ~ggg <br />Division of Minerals 8 Geology <br />As requested by the Division of Minerals and Geology, I am submitting the following list of evidence and <br />wimesses to present at the upcoming hearing to determine whether the State will grant Siloam Stone an <br />extended mine permit. <br />Evidence: <br />* Letter of protest from Dr. John Gill (stating canyon is well-known for rock climbing and has appeared <br />in international publications and in a film appearing on the Discovery Channel.) <br />* Letter of protest from the Beulah Regional Conservation Society <br />* Findings of complete azchaeological survey of the azea to be conducted and as allowed from the <br />informal hearing held on January 23, 1998. <br />* Petition to protest special-use permit from Pueblo County <br />* Findings from Pueblo County special-use permit hearing <br />* U. S.G. S. Map showing Peck's Canyon to be a natural wetland <br />* Letters of protest from azea residents and homeowners <br />* Map showing a Mine Plan Phasing Map from Colorado Refractories Corp. dated September 1977. <br />This is the map homeowners were shown by the developer indicating where the mine activity would be <br />through the year 2061. <br />* Pictures of the area to be included in the proposed permit azea <br />* A video tape ofthe area to be included in the proposed permit area <br />Witnesses: <br />* Kelly and Douglas Park, landowners <br />* Representative from firm hired to do archaeological survey <br />* Representative from Kimochi <br />If you have any questions, or need any further clarification on any of these proposed pieces of evidence or <br />witnesses, please contact me at (719) 547-1291. <br />Sincerely, <br />
