APACHE CANYON AIRSHAFTS (Two parcels located in Apache Canyon). These shafts
were originally permitted with the New Elk Mining Permit C-81-0I2. In 1997 the New Elk
Minine Permit ownership transferred to Picketwire Processing, LLC. The responsibility for
reclamation of the airshafts was retained by the former owner and owner of the Golden Eagle
Mining Permit. To acknowledge this liability, the airshafts are being transferred into the
Golden Eagle Permit. The Description of their locations and permit boundary is as follows:
The Apache Canyon North Shaft, located on the left fork of Apache Canyon 1.55
miles from the mouth of the main canyon, is rectangular parcel containing I.OI acres
with dimensions of 100 ft. X 380 ft.
The Apache Canyon South Shaft, located on [he left fork of Apache Canyon 2.94
miles from the mouth of the main canyon, is a rectangular parcel containing 1.43
acres with dimensions of 120 ft. X 520 ft. This parcel includes the airshaft and the
topsoil stockpile foot print. The stockpiled topsoil was used for reclamation of [he
disturbance at the airshaft in 1996.
