EXHIBIT S
PERMANENT AND MAN-MADE STRUCTURES
The man-made structures within 200 feet of the affected
lands are a gasline, the inlet canal and a three strand barbed
wire fence along the east side of the property. The canal and
gas line will not be affected by mining because they lie below
the level of the mine floor. The fence lies approximately 150
feet east of the permit line or 165 feet from the digline. The
gasline is not within 200 feet of the mined area, but is
approximately 190 feet from the permit boundary.
There are no above or below ground power or communication
lines, bridges, wells, water storage impoundments, railroad
tracks, cemeteries or communication antennas within 200 feet of
the affected lands.
The surface owners own the fence and our lease covers
damages to the fence. A mining setback of 15 feet will be
maintained around the site. Along the canal we have located the
permit/affected lands line so it is no closer than 25 feet from
the base of the canal embankment. A near vertical mining face as
mining progresses. As the face worked to the mine perimeter the
slopes will be excavated at their final rate of 3h to lv. Mining
will be well within the permit boundary so there will be no
chance for offsite disturbance due to slope failures. The bottom
of the mine will be above the water surface of the canal.
Listed below are the man-made structures within 200 feet of
the affected lands.
Bollish - 3 strand barbed wire fence
North Sterling Irrigation Co. - Inlet canal.
Kinder Morgan Interstate Gas - buried natural gasline
RECEIVED
fEB 1 6 2001
Division of KeGamation,
Mining and Safety
56
