It's presence on the review area is
unconfirmed, but possible. This species occurs most frequently in the aspen and oak stands
between 7,200 and 9,500 foot elevation levels.
The following list of species occur in the region but not on the review area:
Black-Footed Ferret
Ferruginous Hawk
Long-Billed Curlew
Mexican Spotted Owl
Northern Goshawk
Southwest Willow Flycatcher
White-Faced Ibis
Whooping Crane
Adobe Desert Parsley
Clay-Loving Buckwheat
Spineless Hedgehog Cactus
Montrose Penstemon
Uinta Basin Hookless Cactus
Wetherill Milkvetch
(Mustela nigripes)
IButeo regalisl
(Numenius americanus)
(Strix occidental/s /ucidal
(Accipiter gentilisl
(Epidomax trailii extimus)
(Plegadis chihrl
I Gius Americana)
ILomatium concinnum)
(friogonum pelinophilum)
(Echinocereus trig/ochidiatus var.
(Penstemon retrorsus)
ISclerocactus glaucus)
IAstragalus wetherillirl
Endangered
Category-2
Category-2
Proposed
Category-2
Category-1
Category-2
Endangered
Category-2
Endangered
inermis- Endangered
Category-2
Threatened
Category-2
Category 1 and 2 species are candidates for listing as threatened or endangered under the
Endangered Species Act; information is currently not sufficient to support listing.
Proposed species are those which have been formally proposed to be listed as threatened or
endangered under the Endangered Species Act.
