EXHIBIT D
1. Attached hereto as Exhibit D-1 is the report of the
Colorado Division of Wildlife concerning the application, indi-
cating no wildlife problems so long as the pit activity remains
outside the creek bottom, which in fact it shall.
2. Water considerations are not relevant in this matter,
since the "pit" in fact will constitute leveling off an existing
ridge, in an extremely dry area, with no impounded water created
by any excavation. Additionally, no water will be required for
washing or other processing of extracted materials.
3. The vegetation of the area is almost entirely sage
brush, with the balance being exposed sand, gravel, and soil.
4. The soil type is the Evanston series, as indicated in
studies by the United States Soil Conservation Service.
