The
letter requested an extension of 3 weeks. Due to the fact that this office received a large volume of adequacy
response materials on March 13, 2002, which will require some time to thoroughly review, such request for
extension appears well justified. I am approving your request, and the new decision date is set for April 8, 2002.
I will be out of the office during the week of March 25-29,2002, but should be able to conclude my review after
that time. My thanks to you and to Mr. Gately for being available for the pre-operation inspection of the site on
March ]3, 2002. My inspection report will be mailed to you soon under separate cover.
If you have questions or comments, I may be reached at the Division's Durango field office: 701 Camino del Rio,
Room 125, Durango, CO 81301; telephone 970/247-5193 or fax 970/247-5104.
Sincerely,
~~~~ ~~~
Bob Oswald
Environmental Protection Specialist
a:\seahorse west ext01/rco
