i ~r <br />Appendix 20-1 <br />Postmining Land Use and Permanent Features <br />1.0 Introduction <br />This appendix describes the postmining land use and permanent features that will <br />be left on the landscape following facility closure and final bond release. <br />2.0 Postmining Topography and Drainage <br />The proposed postmining topography is presented on Exhibit 16-1, Post Operational <br />Topography and Vegetation. There are no proposed postmine drainage channels. <br />3.0 Postmining Land Use <br /> The proposed postmining land use is presented on Exhibit 20-1, Post-Mining Land <br /> Use. As noted in Tab 20, the primary postmine land use is grazing land for <br /> livestock. Wildlife habitat ove r most of the permit area is a n additional use. <br /> Improved pasture is proposed for the far northern portion of the permit area north <br /> of the Walker Ditch and adjacent to Highway 40. <br />HGTI has permits/easements to cross two public roads and accompanying right-of- <br />ways: U.S. Highway 90 and Routt County Road 37. The roads are important <br />transportation corridors in Routt County, Colorado and both the roads and right- <br />of-ways will be retained following facility closure and final reclamation. <br />The surface owners of record for lands within the permit boundary are as follows: <br />• Hayden Gulch Terminal, Inc. <br />• Darrell and Duane Hockett <br />• Routt County, Colorado <br />• State of Colorado, Department of Transportation <br />• State of Colorado,~State Land Board <br />• Town of Hayden, Colorado <br />HGTI has received comments on the proposed postmine land use from the surface <br />owners of record, with the exception of Routt County, Colorado and State of <br />Colorado, Department of Transportation.
