Sazi and Windwhistle soils have bedrock at a
depth of 20 to 40 inches deep. Strych soils have more than 35 percent rock fragments in the particle
size control section.
DRAINAGE AND PERMEABILITY: well drained, negligible to high runoff, moderate or moderately
slow permeability
USE AND VEGETATION: These soils are used mainly for rangeland. The potential vegetation is
Indian ricegrass, galleta, Wyoming big sagebrush, and winterfat.
DISTRIBUTION AND EXTENT: Southeast Utah and southwest Colorado.
