2.05.3 (3) Mine Facilities
(a) Several buildings and structures within the permit area have been constructed.
These buildings and structures such as offices, warehouses, preparation plant,
shops, roads, loading facilities, and other mine facilities are listed in Table 13-1.
Locations of these facilities are indicated on Exhibits 6A through 11A, 51, 52,
57, 58, SL-16-009, and 12C (Tab 14). Removal of all buildings and structures
within the permit area will commence upon completion of mining. All materials
that are salvageable will be removed and sold to minimize the overall cost of
reclamation. In Table 13-2, the estimated time for removal of each structure is
listed. In Tab Section 14, a time-table and detailed narrative addressing all
aspects of the reclamation can be found.
In 1983, the main ventilation fan for the Roadside South Portal was moved from
+ the operations area to the current South Fan site. This move was covered by
technical revision TR-01. The revision included an incidental boundary change
of 20 acres. Refer to Exhibit SL-16-009 for the site location.
Minor revision MR-03 was included in the permit in 1983 which allowed
construction of a material storage area on top of the inactive Roadside Refuse
Disposal Area. Refer to F~chibit RS-11-008 in Tab Section 14 for details.
In 1985, a flood control dike was constructed which replaced a sediment control
berm that had washed out in the Spring flooding of 1984. The structure was
approved as technical revision TR-02. Minor revision MR-09 defined a borrow
area, located near Pond 2, from which material for construction was excavated.
The purpose of the dike is to protect the overland conveyor and the west end of
f 3- f (f?EV: f 2i f 8~'U j
