33. Attachment R-32 addresses the issue of threatened or endangered species
presence.
34. As discussed in adequacy issue no.l4, no assurance ofpost-mining use as
residential can be provided. In the event that the proposed residential/ comirercial
development becomes viable, La Plata County will require an extensive soil
analysis as part of land use permitting for these types of developments.
35. A more thorough description of existing vegetation is contained within the
attached Wetland Assessment, R-25.
36. With the above-discussed exclusion of dewatering within Phase D and the
extension of setbacks from the Florida River channel, no deleterious impacts to
the stands of trees existing in the river corridor are expected.
37. This comment is acknowledged.
38. Attached is a revised Exhibit M, R-38, updating the listing and status of other
permits.
39. See R-5.
40. A geotechnical engineering analysis and report is attached as R-40.
Please call me with any questions or comments you may have.
Sincer
Matt Carnahan X70 , -T69 - 5463
Gravel, LLC
xc, w/attachments: Doug Simonson
