R-14
(iii) The proposed sequence of reclamation stages is consistent
throughout Phases A, B, C, D, and E.
1. Replacement of overburden -rough grading
2. Replacement of topsoil (where applicable)
3. Final grading
4. Seeding
(f)
(i) Final grading of the mining area will be completed such that
no reclaimed slope will exceed 3:1. Contours shown o ~
revised Exhibit F are representative of the final grading plan
proposed. It is anticipated that pre-mining slopes in excess
of 3:1 wherein no mining occurs will remain at their natural
gradient.
(ii) Seeding (see above}
{iii) Fertilization will likely be required within Phase E. The
following recommendations were received from area experts
based on soil type and proposed seed mixture:
Type:
Mixture:
Quantities:
Time of application:
(iv) Revegetation (see above)
(v) Topsoiling within phases A, B, C, and D will be replaced at
depths ranging from 6 - 8" or as dictated by the amourr:
present during pre-mining removal. It is not expected that
adequate topsoil for replacement exists in Phase E (see:
section (a) above).
