Dept. of Natural Resources <br />We are forwarding a letter that was prepared for your information <br />on October 6, 1983 by Mr. Mark Heffner. His comments may not be <br />relevant now. <br />The operator is anxious to have this application approved by the <br />Board this month. Therefore, the suggestions and recommendations <br />outlined in your letter are generally acceptable. Our specific <br />comments follow. <br />A.(1) We suggest a mix of 79.98 seeds per square foot as <br />follows: <br />Fairway Crested Wheatgrass 8.0 PLS/ac broadcast <br />Intermediate Wheatgrass 8.0 PLS/ac broadcast <br />Yellow Sweetclover 1.4 PLS/ac broadcast <br />Total 17.4 PLS/ac broadcast <br />Our suggestion is based on recommendations contained in Mr. <br />Heifner's letter of October 6. <br />B.(1) The operator intends to remain with his original plan. <br />Soil/overburden will be respread to a depth of 12 to 18 inches, <br />averaging 15 inches. A soil analysis report is attached to Mr. <br />Heifner's letter. <br />(2) The two seed mixtures you have designed, as described <br />in the attachment, are acceptable. <br />
