Though the surface material is sparse, the presence of a Cody <br />Complex artifact never. before recorded in northwestern Colorado, the probability <br />of extant buried cultural material, the evidence for habitation, and the size <br />of the site make this site eligible for nomination to the National Register of <br />Historic Places. A Paleo-Indian site has not been previously recorded in this <br />area, with the possible exception of the U.P. Mammoth site. The presence of <br />Paleo-Indian material makes this site significant. <br />(No. 35 cont.) and extent and type of buried material.
