Sediment in bottom of existing <br />pond to be removed exposing <br />bedrock beneath the footprint of <br />the embankment before placing <br />rockfill material. <br />2. ROCKFILL — Rockfill material <br />shall be comprised of sandstone <br />and shall contain less than 50% <br />smaller than 1 —inch diameter <br />particles and a maximum rock <br />particle size of 75% of lift <br />thickness. The rockfill material <br />must also contain less than 15% <br />by weight fines passing the #200 <br />sieve. The rockfill should have <br />a well — graded grain size <br />distribution and length of <br />individual particles shall not <br />exceed 3 times the width. <br />3. Rockfill to be constructed <br />in lifts and compacted as <br />recommended in the attached <br />report. <br />4. Water to be added to fill <br />material during construction as <br />recommended in the attached <br />report. <br />5. Side slopes shall not exceed <br />3 (horizontal):1 (vertical). <br />6. Geotextile to be used <br />between rockfill material and <br />subbase, as required. <br />7. Subbase is to be a minimum <br />of 9 inches (compacted thickness) of <br />State Highway Class 2 (1981) <br />material. <br />8. Base course is to be a <br />mimimum of 4 inches (compacted <br />thickness) of State Highway Class <br />6 (1981) material. <br />9. Crown Grade of 27o to be used <br />for final grade of road. <br />10.
