Minc Fan <br />• Uprnt completion of mining, the fan and motor will be removed from the foundation and taken from the site. This <br />will involve unbolting [he fan and moor from their respective foundations. The pre-engineered building will be torn <br />down and buried in the pi[. The duct work and concrete pad or footers will be left in place and buried during <br />reclamation of the portal area. <br />In reference to the transformer, it will be removed from its pad and removed from dte site. The additional power <br />pales will be knocked down and pushed into the portal excavation area during reclamation activities. Likewise, the <br />transformer pad will be pushed into portal area during reclamation activities. <br />Coal Handling Sys[em <br />Significant rough grading will no[ be required as a result of upgrading the coal handling system. Prior ro rough <br />grading [he area, the stacker tube, conveyor belts and structure will he removed from [he site. 'the top and upper <br />length of the sides of the reclaim tunnel and its laterals will be broken up and placed into the tunnel and laterals. <br />'then [he area will be rough graded to blend in with surrounding topography. <br />After removal of the buildings and conveyors, the concrete foundation will be removed and buried a[ the portal <br />area. The conveyor structure and building will be either buried at the portal or disposed of off-site. Likewise, the <br />stacker tube will be either buried at the portal or disposed of off-site. <br />In reference to the overland belt access corridor, the area will be ripped to a depth of 24" and the windrowed <br />topsoil will be redistributed over the corridor. The redistributed topsoil will be seeded with [he rangeland seed <br />mixture. The drive building will be dismantled and either removed from the site or hauled to the portal area for <br />• burial. The foundation material will be handled in the same manner. <br />The borrow material [hat was used to construct [he pad will be hauled back to the burrow site. dtis will allow for <br />returning the borrow area to AOC. Once the material is returned to [he site, the area will he topsoiled and seeded <br />as per [he approval plan. <br />Preparation Plant <br />When no longer required, [he preparation plant and associated structures will be torn down and removed from the <br />site. The structures to be removed include the preparation plant, clean coal conveyor, stoker coal conveyor. <br />thickener tank, reclaim hopper, magnetite bin, transformer pad, conveyor bent, various foundations, and power <br />line. The structure will be dismantled and placed in the portal area and then the area will be backfilled. If the <br />structural components can be recycled instead of burying them in this case, [his will be done. After structure <br />removal and backfilling, the site will be topsoiled and seeded with the approved seed mixture. The topsoil <br />replacement will involve redistributing the 9,300 CY of topsoil that was placed in stockpile SF-4 (3,300 CY) and <br />PPSP-I (6,000 CY). The 4,170 CY of plant growth media placed in stockpile PPSP-2 will be re istribute over <br />the area from which it was removed. <br />During the review of TR94-18, a concern was raised over the post-mining elevation, and if the foundation would <br />be below grade. The bond for [he technical revision was established using the worst-case estimate that the <br />foundation would have to he removed from the area and then the site reeraded. <br />• The map and certification presented in exhibit 266, Postmining Topography Evaluation, shows that the foundation <br />could be at the surface upon completion of final grading. However, given the ability to fine tune dte grading plan <br />in the field, it would he possible to keep the foundation three feet belo~~ grade.
