For example, if the <br />wetland naturally drops by 2 feet and then the mining operation causes the wetland to <br />drop by 2 feet, that actually makes a 4 foot drop in the water table, which would be <br />significantly outside the normal range of fluctuations for the wetland. <br />All the above points, plus several other minor concerns, have been expressed to Owens in <br />detail. As stated in point 1 above, the central component of the November 2001 plan <br />has been eliminated dne to the county barrow pit issue, and so far no aew approach <br />has been presented. <br />Thank you, Tony, for taking time to consider the above concerns regarding the impact of <br />the Owens mining operation on my wetland.
