CO 80477 • Telephone (303) 879-3800 <br />August 27, 1984 <br />Ms. Sandy Emrich <br />Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Division <br />.423 Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br />RE: Certification of Haulroads and Access Roads <br />at Colorado Yampa Coal Company <br />Dear Ms. Emrich: <br />This letter is in regards to David Shelton's memo dated July 13, <br />1984, regarding a professional certification of roads as having been <br />built as designed, inspected and monitored in accordance with regulation <br />4.03.1, "Haulroads", <br />Colorado Yampa Coal Company (CYCC) is submitting the following <br />information to comply with this requirement. <br />CYCC has seven haulroads and three access roads which have been <br />certified in accordance with 4.031. See attached maps M1, M2 and <br />Haulroads for road locations and current certification status. <br />Haulroads A, B, C, E, and E-1, and access roads F, G, and H received <br />P.E, approval by John Gates on February 5, 1980 in CYCC's original Permit <br />79-177. The certification is located in Volume 7, Map 35 of Permit 79- <br />177. <br />On April 6, 1982, Ed Fidler, Chief Engineer, certified two <br />extensions, one to haulroad E and one to access road F. This <br />certification can be found in a Response to Review letter, dated February <br />25, 1982 and submitted to the CMLRD on June 24, 1982 under [he title, <br />"State Program Permit Submission 79-177 of Colorado Yampa Coal Company <br />under the state rule 2.01.3(5). <br />On August 24, 1984, the final two haulroads at CYCC were certified <br />and can be seen on the attached map labeled Haulroads. <br />• <br />
